Art from Nicolaus Widerberg
Nicolaus Widerberg is a Norwegian artist known for his unique sculptures that challenge form, volume and use of materials. With a background as a visual artist, he has developed an ability to create works that are both visually impressive and deeply emotional. Wiberg's sculptures play on nature's own aesthetics and human expression, where every shape and line carries a story.
Beskytte
The glass sculpture named "Beskytte" is from 2024 and is made of clear glass mounted on a diabase base. The sculpture is modeled by Nico in clay, then a reinforced refractory mold is made of plaster and chamotte. The molds are filled with molten glass at Hadeland Glassverk, where they remain in cooling ovens for a couple of months before they are completed. You can find this in the bar area.
Lengsel Hun
The sculpture that stands outside is called "Lengsel Hun" and is cast in bronze, sitting on a diabase pedestal. This is one of the first things that greets you in our lobby.
Trygve Skaug
Trygve Skaug has become a part of Son Spa
Trygve Skaug is a Norwegian artist known for his personal and emotional expressions in both music and visual art. With a background as a singer, songwriter and painter, Skaug has developed an artistic style that crosses the boundaries between sound and visual experiences.
At Son Spa you will have the opportunity to experience his unique artwork in an inspiring setting, where Skaug's work creates an atmosphere of calm, reflection and wonder. The power of art to touch and convey emotions adds an extra dimension to your visit to Son Spa, inviting you to both inner and outer well-being. His art can be found in Circle Of Senses, 2nd floor of the spa.
