Spa Manager’s Best Skincare Tips for summer
Take Care of Your Skin This Summer
Summer is a wonderful time of sunshine, warm days and time spent outdoors, but it is also when your skin needs a little extra care. UV rays can dehydrate the skin and contribute to premature ageing if it is not properly protected.
Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF (at least SPF 30, preferably SPF 50) and reapply every two hours, especially after swimming or perspiring. Don't forget to protect your lips and the delicate skin around your eyes with SPF lip balm and eye cream.
Keep your skin well hydrated by using a lightweight moisturiser morning and evening. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, and consider adding electrolytes to help support healthy, hydrated skin.
Give your skin a little extra love with a soothing face mask or products containing aloe vera or hyaluronic acid. These ingredients help calm, replenish and deeply hydrate the skin after a day in the sun.
